A hair transplant changes the shape of your face.

Hair-loss ages you prematurely because it changes the shape of your face by exposing skin. By replacing that lost hair you turn back the clock to a time when you had more hair and less visible skin.

To make this look natural, no matter how much hair you lose is to replace the hair in the way that you lost it. So when people ask us to lower their hairline we will do this by reversing your hair-loss pattern. A man will lose hair form the frontal hairline and the lateral hairlines. This combines to expose a lot of skin, giving that person the appearance of an aging man.

When designing a hairline it’s as important to bring the lateral hairlines forward as well as lower and round the frontal hairline. The curve this creates will return the frame to the face.

If the curve of a male hairline is in the wrong place, it’ll look like a female hairline. If the lateral hairlines isn’t transplanted when the forelock is lowered, the transplant will look odd, like it’s sliding off your face.

Our Design Consultation allows the patient to discuss all these issues and more after your Initial Consultation. You tell us what you want to achieve with a transplant and we’ll design it for you to see the exact area it will cover.
