Hair-loss is a lifelong condition. It doesn’t start at the same time for everyone. But the younger you are when it starts the more likely you are to develop Norwood stage 6 or Norwood stage 7 pattern of hair-loss. So the younger a person is when they have a transplant, the greater risk there is that we may not have anticipated their future hair-loss.

In the face to face consultation, Mr Fogarty will discuss your family history of hair-loss as well as your own personal history of hair-loss. He will also examine your hair for evidence of miniaturisation. This will indicate how much hair you may lose in the next 5 - 10 years.

Armed with this knowledge of your individual hair-loss experience Mr Fogarty can predict with some accuracy how much hair you will lose over your lifetime. This allows him to then design a hair transplant that will look natural now and at any point in your future no matter how much hair you might lose.

Our transplants are not dependent on any medication.

Our hair transplants are permanent.

This is a patient who will develop a Norwood 6 pattern of hair-loss. So we won’t lower the hairline as it means that when the Norwood 6 pattern is established the hairline would look odd and there won’t be enough hair left to transplant behind the low hairline.
