Here are 4 transplanted hairlines. 3 of them are Paradigm hairlines.
The top left photo is a transplant that was not carried out by Paradigm.
What’s wrong with the hairline on the top left?
1. A mature male hairline should curve in a horseshoe shape.
This hairline doesn’t curve at all, it angles downward towards the anterior lateral hump.
2. The curve of a mature male hairline should be inside the corner of the individual’s eye if you were to draw a line from the corner of the eye to the hairline.
This hairline is more like a female hairline than a male hairline as it’s outside the corner of the eye.
3. There should only be single hairs in the hairline.
There are multiple hair grafts in this hairline.
4. The hairline should be irregular.
This hairline is straight.
5. Behind an irregular hairline there should be a transition zone of density so the hairline fades gradually from single hairs to density.
There is no density behind this hairline.
6. The quality of the transplanted hairlines should be the same as it was in the donor area.
This transplanted hair is dry and frizzy. That’s because the sebaceous glands that oil the hair have been damaged during the transplantation process.
7. A transplanted hairline should replace a natural hairline that has thinned or receded.
This young man had no hair-loss in his hairline or forelock. So the transplant was placed in an area on his forehead that never held hair.
Hair transplantation looks easy, you just take hair from the back and sides and you stick it on the top. No problem!
